Therapy Buddies Cookout (broadcast script)

 [TAKE :VO]  {***VO***} The Therapy Buddies Neighborhood Care Team aims to bring communities together. Today, a cookout in north Montgomery with free food and music did just that. The "Don't let our differences divide us" cookout at the Bargain Center Thrift Store today provided an easy way for people to come out and get to know eachother.  [TAKE :SOT]  {***SOT***} [DURATION:0:20]  <"Well today, the event is about community. Our community in north Montgomery getting together, eating, talking. It's not about politics today, it's about community. I want them to get to know me. I want us to come together, share ideas. How we can eliminate something, change something, anything. I just want to speak to them one-on-one.">  [TAKE :CONT VO]  {***CONT VO***} The completely volunteer-run organization hopes the event will inspire other communities to gather together and get to know their neighbors.

The team is primarily focused on providing support for the elderly and disabled.
